One of the world’s most expensive dresses has sparkled on the catwalk in Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
The £3.5million ($5.67m) dress was created by British designer Debbie Wingham, who embroidered the piece with 50 two carat black diamonds, and weighs 29lb (13 kilograms).
Presented at a show featuring several other diamond-encrusted dresses from Ms Wingham’s collection, the black diamond dress received a mixed response from the audience in Kiev. The shimmering number received mixed reviews from the crowd; some said it was ugly whilst others felt it was a real beauty. And whilst the jewels may be impressive, so is the price tag of £3.5million ($5.67m).

For getting this fabric is used a kind of non-pathogenic bacteria (acetobacter), which are added to wine to convert it into vinegar and a cream that floats on the surface. This layer is then harvested and dried on an inflatable doll to get the desired shape. When the mannequin is deflated the clothing remains. However, when the ensemble dries the fibres become like tissue paper, tearing easily and needs to be kept damp when worn.
With a little imagination, will and effort, it is expected that this newly developed material used in other disciplines such as medicine, dentistry or architecture, not only in fashion.

Moss Graffiti
Here’s something that’s decidedly not green: graffiti! Moss graffiti, also called eco-graffiti or green graffiti, replaces spray paint, paint-markers or other such toxic chemicals and paints with a paintbrush and a moss “paint” that can grow on its own. You can use moss graffiti to adorn a wall or on stepping stones or wooden or ceramic planters.
Unlike spray paint, moss graffiti is all natural and healthy to work with. Aerosol cans spraying toxic paints onto surfaces that will later require time, energy and water to be removed.
As people become more eco-friendly and environmentally aware, the idea of making living, breathing graffiti has become a more green and creative outlet for graffiti artists.
Moss graffiti is a slower process, but the results are very impressive.
What a unique way to add more personality to your springtime garden!

What You’ll Need:
- Handfulls of Moss
- 1-2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- Water
- Blender
- Covered Container
- Paint Brush
- Chalk
- Spray Mist Bottle
What To Do:
- Collect moss.
- Clean the dirt off the moss.
- Sketch out the image onto the surface with chalk.
- Place moss in the blender.
- Add sugar and buttermilk
- Blend until thick like a milkshake. If it gets too thick, add some water.
- Pour into container.
- With the paintbrush, create your design on the surface.
- Leftover moss can be stored in the refrigerator and reapplied if needed.
- Spray your moss wall art daily with water.
- The design should start to spread over the area.
- One or two clumps (about a small handful) of moss
- 2 cups of buttermilk
- You can also substitute with yogurt (vegan yogurt can be used)
- 2 cups of water (or beer)
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- Corn syrup (optional)
- Gather up as much moss as you can find or buy.
- Wash the moss to get as much soil out of the roots as possible.
- Break the moss apart into manageable pieces and place in blender.
- Add the buttermilk/yogurt, water/beer and sugar.Blend the mixture until completely smooth. You’ll want it to have a paint-like texture. If the mixture is at a consistency where you feel it will drip, add corn syrup until the consistency you desire is reached.
- Use a paintbrush to apply the moss-paint to the surface on which you wish your design to grow.
- If possible, check back weekly to either spray the design with water (to encourage moss growth, especially if you live in a dry environment) or apply more moss-paint.
